This is me

Me and my photography approach

I was born in the 8O's in South Wales then moved to the Midlands. I went to Drama School in London and ended up living there for many years as an actor. I had a successful career spanning over a decade playing some of the greatest characters in some of the most incredible shows all over the UK and abroad.

In between theatre work, I started shooting actors headshots which was great training and taught me that the camera never lies. If you are uncomfortable, the camera will see it, so it became important to put my clients at ease quickly.

I'm now based in the picturesque market town of Wantage in Oxfordshire. I have moved from headshots to weddings and my partner and I now have a gorgeous daughter Edie, who is teaching me Judo.

I love to be outside and there is nothing better than getting into our campervan and getting away for a long weekend to a campsite with a playpark and a bar. I enjoy cooking and football and playing silly games with Edie.

My approach

I get people telling me all the time "I hate having my picture taken". I'm the same, it's so weird having a camera thrust in your face and being told to "SMILE". This is why you will see me chatting to people throughout the day, it helps create a fun and friendly atmosphere which I believe will only enhance the photos.

On the day, I take a mixture of setups and candids. As much as I love taking those traditional portraits that your nan will want on her mantlepiece, my real passion lies in reportage. Capturing those silly moments, the drunken dancefloor shenanigans or snapshots of family reunions that happen at every wedding but are often unseen.
